Excursions
The countryside around the Wolfensberg is a pure paradise. It is the ideal starting point for hikes and walks in the lovely Necker Valley, the Appenzeller Land with the Säntis mountain and various routes around Degersheim itself.
The nearby city of St. Gallen is as well worth sightseeing. The picturesque Old Town with the Cathedral from the late baroque period and its Abbey library belong to the World Unesco Heritage Site.
From St. Gallen it is only another 15 min drive to the Lake of Constance. There you can enjoy wonderful boat trips, to Germany for example, or use the well built cycle and inline paths around the lake.
